Premium Interiors • Sarjapura, Karnataka
Sarjapura homeowners spend their days in their homes now. The kitchen, the home office, and the bedroom have to do more. We design interiors built for how you actually live and work.
What Makes Sarjapura Homes Different
Most Sarjapura homeowners are in their 30s or early 40s. Many work in IT. The homes here are bigger than in Hosur or Bagalur. A typical Sarjapura independent house is 2,200 to 3,500 sq ft. That gives you room for a dedicated home office, a walk-in wardrobe, a proper dining area, and an open kitchen with an island or breakfast bar.
This is a different design problem from a compact 2BHK. The challenge is not just fitting things in. It is making a large home feel considered and cohesive rather than furnished piece by piece from different showrooms over five years.
The interior firms that pitch in Sarjapura are mostly from Bengaluru. They send a junior designer for the site visit, push you through a templated catalogue, and charge for travel and coordination delays. We are based in Hosur, 20 km from Sarjapura. Our principal architect or senior designer handles every project directly. No handoffs. No catalogue upselling.
Clean lines. No loud textures. Good storage that does not look like storage. A kitchen that can handle daily cooking and hosting. A home office that does not feel like a cubicle. Materials that are easy to maintain. And a budget they can explain to their spouse without a fight.
That is the brief we design to. We do not push maximalist feature walls or heavy textured wallpaper unless you specifically ask for it. The default Sarjapura home we design is warm, contemporary, and built to last.
A Feature Sarjapura Homes Actually Need
Working from home in a spare bedroom with a folding table is not a home office. It is a makeshift arrangement that costs you focus every day. Sarjapura has a higher concentration of remote and hybrid workers than most areas around Bengaluru. If you spend 5 to 8 hours a day at your desk, the design of that space directly affects your output and your stress levels.
A proper home office needs four things: a dedicated wall for storage and screens, task lighting that is separate from the room's ambient lighting, cable management so the desk does not look like a server room, and some acoustic control for calls and meetings.
Floor-to-ceiling shelving with closed storage below and open display above. Desk integrated into the unit so it does not float awkwardly. A full 6 to 8 ft wall gives you space for two monitors, a laptop dock, and work materials without the desk looking cluttered.
We separate the office lighting into two circuits: warm ambient for the room and cool-white task lighting at the desk. This reduces eye strain during long sessions and makes video calls look better. Both are on dimmers.
Flush cable trays running from the desk to the wall outlet. Dedicated power sockets at desk height with USB-A and USB-C ports built into the desk surface. No extension boards on the floor.
If your home office is your primary meeting room, we add a soft wall panel or fabric-backed bookshelf at the wall behind you. This reduces echo on calls without turning the room into a recording studio.
A dedicated home office alcove in an existing room costs Rs 80,000 to Rs 1.4 lakh. A full room conversion with acoustic treatment runs Rs 1.8 to Rs 2.8 lakh depending on size and finish level.
Full Interior Services
We handle the complete interior or individual areas depending on your priorities. Below is what each part of the service covers for a typical Sarjapura home.
Parallel, L-shape, or island kitchen. HDHMR carcass with Italian laminate or matte acrylic shutters. Quartz countertop, full-height backsplash, concealed chimney housing. Integrated appliance placement from day one.
Walk-in wardrobe with clothing zones, drawer systems, and a dressing table integrated into the unit. Standard bedrooms get floor-to-ceiling hinged or sliding wardrobes. No dead space above or beside.
TV unit with closed and open storage, entertainment wall design, crockery unit or buffet console in the dining area. False ceiling with zoned lighting. We avoid feature walls unless specifically requested.
Study wall with integrated desk, task lighting, cable management, and acoustic treatment as needed. Designed for a full working day, not occasional use.
Vanity with double basin option for larger bathrooms, backlit mirror, built-in storage for toiletries, and towel warming provision. We coordinate tile selection with the overall home palette.
Entrance foyer with shoe storage, coat hooks, and a console. Sit-out or balcony design with weather-resistant furniture provision and planter integration if the space allows it.

Materials We Use
Sarjapura clients typically have a choice to make: achieve a clean, modern interior at a reasonable cost or invest in premium materials that look visibly different and last longer. We design for both. Here is what changes.
Most of our Sarjapura projects use a mix: HDHMR carcass throughout for durability, standard laminate in bedrooms, and premium finish only in the kitchen and living room where it is seen every day. This approach gives you 80% of the premium look at 60% of the premium cost. For a full breakdown of interior costs, see our interior design cost guide.
How We Work
We visit your Sarjapura home, measure every room, note existing electrical positions, and spend time understanding how you actually use each space. We ask about your work schedule, how often you host guests, whether you prefer to cook or order in, and what annoys you about interiors you have lived in before. The brief is specific. Generic briefs produce generic interiors.
We prepare a full 3D view of every room in the scope. You see exactly how the kitchen layout functions, how the wardrobe fills the wall, and how the home office will look from the door before any material is ordered. Changes at this stage are free. We do not proceed to fabrication until you have approved the design in full.
We prepare physical sample boards for laminates, hardware, countertop, and tile. For premium finishes, we arrange a visit to the showroom for hands-on selection. You sign off on every material before it is ordered. No surprises when goods arrive on site.
Carpentry is factory fabricated and installed under supervision. False ceiling, electrical modifications, and tile work happen in parallel from our civil team. A project manager visits the Sarjapura site at least three times a week and sends photo updates daily. The sequence is planned so trades do not delay each other.
Final walkthrough with a snag list, touch-up work, and deep cleaning. One year warranty on all carpentry and hardware. Any soft-close mechanism failure, shutter alignment issue, or drawer hardware problem is fixed at no cost within the warranty period. For homes we also constructed, the structural warranty continues alongside.
Realistic Cost Ranges
Sarjapura homes are larger than average. The cost reflects that. Here are realistic ranges based on current material and labour costs. These include design fees, fabrication, installation, and a one-year warranty. They exclude civil work like bathroom tiling and painting unless specifically included in scope.
We start with a fixed-price quote after the design is approved. The quoted amount is the amount you pay. There are no add-ons once fabrication begins unless you specifically request a change to the approved design. Use our construction cost calculator if you are also planning to build your Sarjapura home and want a combined estimate.
Recent Project
The client was a senior engineering manager at a tech company, working hybrid. He had built his 2,800 sq ft villa through us and was ready for interiors. The main requirement was a proper home office, an open kitchen that worked for daily cooking and occasional dinner hosting, and storage throughout the home without it looking like a storage home.
We designed a kitchen with a 4.5 ft island in Italian matte white laminate and a Silestone countertop. The living room used a coffered false ceiling at 10 ft height, warm cove lighting, and a TV wall in wood-finish laminate with closed lower storage. The home office used a 9 ft study wall with integrated desk, above-desk open shelving, and a fabric-panel wall behind the desk chair for video calls.
The three wardrobes were floor-to-ceiling with profile aluminium handles, Blum soft-close channels, and internal fittings for the master bedroom including a small shoe rack and saree tray. Total interior cost came to Rs 23.4 lakh including all civil finishing work inside. Handover was 16 weeks after design approval.
If you are also planning to build in Sarjapura before furnishing, see our house construction page for Sarjapura to understand how we handle construction and interiors as a single project. Why Design Intend
Our team includes architects and trained interior designers. That means we approach a home interior the same way we approach a building: structurally, spatially, and holistically. When we design your kitchen, we think about traffic flow, light direction, and how the kitchen connects to the dining area. When we design the home office, we think about acoustics and ergonomics. You get real design thinking, not a shutter-colour selection exercise.
Many Bengaluru interior firms assign Sarjapura projects to junior staff after the sales presentation. At Design Intend, every project has a senior designer responsible from the first site visit to the final handover. You do not explain the brief twice. You do not get different people showing up at different stages.
After design approval, we give you a complete line-item quote. Every material, every item of hardware, every room. The total you agree to is the total you pay. Change orders are only raised when you request a change after approval. If we make a mistake in our measurement or planning, we absorb the cost. That is the basis we work on. For an independent look at what to expect when building or furnishing in this region, see our complete home building guide.
A full 3BHK interior in Sarjapura costs Rs 14 to Rs 20 lakh for a standard-to-mid-level finish covering kitchen, all wardrobes, living and dining area, and a home office setup. Premium finishes with Italian laminate, HDHMR carcass, and Blum hardware push costs to Rs 22 to Rs 28 lakh. A 2BHK full package runs Rs 10 to Rs 14 lakh. Individual items like the kitchen alone start at Rs 2.5 lakh.
Yes. We design home offices for Sarjapura clients regularly. A proper home office needs a dedicated study wall with storage and an integrated desk, task lighting separate from ambient room lighting, cable management for multiple screens, and acoustic treatment if you take calls. An alcove home office in an existing room costs Rs 80,000 to Rs 1.4 lakh. A full room conversion with acoustic panel runs Rs 1.8 to Rs 2.8 lakh.
Most Sarjapura homeowners prefer clean contemporary interiors with warmth. A neutral palette of warm whites or light beiges, wood-finish laminates, and natural stone accents works well in the light conditions and room sizes typical of the area. We avoid heavy textures, dark feature walls, and high-contrast tile patterns unless specifically requested. The style we deliver is modern, livable, and low maintenance.
Design phase takes 2 to 3 weeks. Fabrication and installation for a 3BHK full interior takes 10 to 14 weeks. Total from first meeting to handover is 14 to 18 weeks for a 3BHK. A 2BHK runs 10 to 14 weeks total. We provide a weekly project schedule and share daily site photos during installation.
Yes. We design the full interior plan upfront so every phase is coordinated. You can execute the kitchen, home office, and master bedroom first, move in, and complete the remaining rooms three to six months later. Because the design is complete, the second phase has no redesign cost and all materials match what you already have.
For plywood: Greenply HDHMR or Centuryply BWR depending on project level. Laminates: Greenlam or Merino standard, Royale Touche or Italian Fenix for premium. Countertop: Kalinga Stone quartz standard, Silestone or Corian for premium. Hardware: Hettich soft-close standard, Blum Aventos or Clip Top for premium. We provide the full material specification sheet before you sign off, so you know exactly what is going into your home.
